TSC is the lead drug in a family of novel pharmaceutical compounds called Bipolar Trans Carotenoid Salts (BTCs), which are a subfamily of Diffusion-Enhancing Compounds (DECs). DECs, BTCs, and TSC were all invented by Diffusion Pharmaceuticals’ co-founder, Professor John Gainer.
Because they embody a novel concept in pharmaceutical technology, Dr. Gainer’s discoveries have received broad worldwide coverage with issued US patent protection through at least 2027.
