In addition to its oncology programs, the Diffusion Pharmaceutical foresees that its novel small molecule pharmaceutical mechanism of action will be useful in the treatment of other life-threatening unmet medical needs such as stroke, heart attack, and peripheral artery disease.
Diffusion has completed Phase I and Phase II studies of TSC in normal healthy volunteers and in patients with peripheral artery disease. Data from these studies have been used to determine the human safety and pharmacokinetic profile of TSC. Given the broad applicability of TSC’s mechanism of action across numerous disease states, these studies also provide invaluable information for determining human dosing for future clinical studies.
